My Bonnie Blog

My Bonnie Blog

Well well my blogging buddies .... I'm back.
And what a Bonnie Time I had atconvention ...

My bonnie lies over the ocean.
My bonnie lies over the sea.

My bonnie lies over the ocean.

What an inspiration it was this year .... Is it because the
classes and presentations were better or was I just now really ready to hear them?

O bring back my bonnie to me.
I learned so much that it really went by in a blur ... But I can't wait to bring it all home.

Bring back, bring back, O bring back my bonnie to me.Bring back, bring back,
O bring back my bonnie to me.
So you all know it ... I am finally ready to bring it.
This home, my life and my business are all in for the shaking up of the century.
[Image]Hang on tight and get ready to enjoy this party in a box,
coming your way in the near future.

renos, renos, renos

More reno pics

and some more

As the Smoke Clears

In the aftermath of our dear Canuck's loss ... and the sadness over the riots ...I see only generous kindness ... my daughter, her boyfriend, several of their friends, and about 20,000 other sweet souls went downtown to clean the city.

Goodness still prevails ... Evil still loses.
Life still goes on, but tastes sweeter ... as it is silver-lined with Love.
"personally I prefer Silver to Gold" was my oldest daughter's quote of the day.

So ... Let's get down to the Business side of this Blog.
I realize I have let things slip a bit on the technical side, but I am back.

Sometimes I will Blog and sometimes ... I will dictate to my oldest and sometimes she will blog here on her own. Just so you all know what the future holds.
This week I will post some pics of my new craft room in renovation mode ...
and Next week I will be posting the finished (well almost finished) Room.

So here are some pics ...

Hello my crazy young things.

Guess what?

We are still in the process of finding a good day to do an Easter class.
What weekend do you guys think would be suitable?
Easter is late this year. It's in April right?

So tell me what you guys think?
Post a comment or send me an email?

My apologies!

Hey bloggers, Paper Crafters and curious website snoopers!

I know I haven't blogging enough about my crafting adventures recently *pout*.
Mostly due to the fact that Christmas was a downer because EVERYONE got sick shortly after.
We are just now in the recovering stages (one bad thing about a big family. You share being sick and play a lot of pass.) *phew*

TEASER!
I'm in the stages of setting up a possible easter card class.
My Oldest daughter would be joining me in teaching most likely.
She is thinking of doing a 4x4 canvas class for easter.
She recently became a Stampin' Up Demonstrator, and even came with me to regionals!
(Which by the way was in Vancouver, BC this year.)
She made cute little easter bunny swap using both the
two-step owl punch and word window (I might post a picture if she lets me take one.)

In other news I also did a craft sale down at Granville Island.
It was a small event with only about 14 vendors and was run by
Carousel Theatre a local studio that is for child to youth actors.

Sorry it took me so long to update!

Rain Rain ... Don't Go But Stay

Rain, rain, go away

Well actually I am a bit different when it comes to rain .. I have the opposite of SADS (you know when most people start to feel blue because the weather is gray and rainy for long periods of time). I seem to have way more energy ... when the days are shorter and darker.

I enjoy sunny days, but not near as much as I enjoy the Rain.

Come again another day

When it rains .... this woman sleeps better ... is happier and has a clearer head. So bring on the rain ... Come again another Day.

Little Cynthia wants to play.

I am so pleased with the choices I have made recently ... even the "overcooked Gingerbread fiasco" ... I vow to learn from my mistakes and very much believe that you get what you give in life. So now for your viewing pleasure are a smattering of cards that I have made (A lot of the designs are created by my good friend, Dragana ... check out her blog at: www.happyinker.blogspot.com)

Thanks to her I have learned all kinds of different techniques and she allows me to share them too .... xD.

I hope you enjoy the following card designs ....

Let's start with a little Christmas ... as it is almost upon us.

And a more Bling Version

Get out those roller wheels .... and colouring pens

This one has a circle that spins ....

And another new technique ... thanks Kari for this one.

This one has a pull off Bookmark ....

This one is another wheel technique ...

A cool stencil technique ...

Wheels and more wheels ...

That same stencil technique with a little bit of vintage added ...

A cool Chalking technique ...
I like the subdued look of this one ...

Butterflies and Bling ... what more do you need ???

Okay add a fairy or two ...

A cool die rubbing technique ...

Bring out the Big Shot ... and lets do some embossing ...

I love crimping paper and of course I had to add a few brads ...

Plain but Pretty ...

Who knew Baby Wipes had tie-dye usages ??

Don't look to closely ... I put on the words upside down, but of course my kids noticed.

This one uses fire and soot ... don't get too close to the flame though ...

A shadow stencil technique ...

Took a Christmas Card and Customized it for a customer ... Thanks Susan and Barb.

Gingerbread Man, Gingerbread Man

These pictures are before the Gingerbread Fiasco

'Run, run as fast as you can!
You can't catch me,
I'm the gingerbread man!'

Short version .. Paid $280 for a table @ Gingerbread Creations Craft Fair .. told there would be 60 vendor tables .. 23 - Friday night ... 21 - Saturday .. Poorly advertised .. Poor communications .. Poor Signage .. Hard to Find.

The Vendors asked for some kind of Rebate after wasting 10 hrs & barely any customers. We were told to Forget about It, cause we were getting NOTHING BACK !! Jenneil Peters .. You Suck !!

Well Gingerbread Creations ...
This woman in the shoe ...
will not be held back by getting Nothing Back.

On to the next show.

Keep Calm, Carry On, and Keep Crafting,
